Volunteer Opportunities
Parent volunteerism is a cornerstone of the Hawthorne culture and we depend on thousands of hours of parent volunteer time every year! There are many volunteer opportunities for every person and every type of schedule. Our dynamic and dedicated parent body serves the mission at Hawthorne in a variety of ways, including participating on a committee, at events, in the classroom, and on the playground.

Fun Run: Help organize, volunteer the day of, and cheer for our students at the annual Fun Run
Walk to School Wednesday: Promote this monthly healthy kids' event by greeting walkers and setting up tables at the school
Multicultural Day: Represent your country by teaching our community how to make a favorite dish and educating students about international cultures
Book Fair: Help students as they shop online for week-long event
Community Service: Give back to those in need by helping out with our various drives during the year
Movie Nights: Organize a family friendly night, fun for all ages
