BHUSD Honor Choir at Hawthorne

BHUSD HONOR CHOIR AUDITIONS at HAWTHORNE SCHOOL

WHAT: We are looking for committed 3rd, 4th and 5th graders from the elementary schools who are interested in singing and performing in a choral ensemble.  Students selected in this performing group will have the opportunity to learn proper vocal technique, develop musicianship skills and perform in our school concert.

WHEN: Auditions will be held on Thursday, September 7, after school at Hawthorne. Each student will be given a 30 minute audition time slot between 3:00-5:00 pm.  Students must stay for their entire half hour time slot.

REHEARSALS: The Honor Choir rehearses every week on Tuesday after school at Hawthorne from 3:15-4:15 pm. Students must attend all rehearsals and performances. 

MANDATORY PARENT MEETING: This will be held on Wednesday, September 13, at 6:00 pm at Hawthorne in the Music Room (122).  Parent attendance at this meeting is required if you want your child to be enrolled in this choral program for the school year 2023-2024.
