Liat Canes
Hi! My name is Liat Canes, I am a special education teacher at Hawthorne. I have been teaching since 2018 and joined the Hawthorne community in 2020. I love working with students with different learning styles and helping them succeed. My teaching is based on the method of differentiation and individualization. To create communities and relationships both inside and outside of the classroom, I co-run Friendship Friday and Garden Club. In my free time, I enjoy, going to the dog park, cooking, and reading on the beach. I am a proud owner of a bearded dragon, Apollo, who lives in my classroom, and has three dogs at home.
