Welcome to First Grade

My name is Janna Lightner, and I am delighted to have your child in my first grade classroom!

 

I have been a part of the Beverly Hills Unified School District since 1997 and have had the good fortune of teaching kindergarten, first grade, second grade and fourth grade.  I continually strive to establish connections with my students and create a learning environment that is safe, loving and filled with respect.  I encourage my students to have fun, take risks and challenge themselves daily.  One of my main focuses in class is building community and fostering teamwork - together everyone achieves more!
