Hello!

 

My name is Candace Hemphill and I am thrilled to be your third grade teacher.

 

I grew up in sunny San Diego where I received my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies at San Diego State University, go Aztecs!

 

I received my Masters Degree in Education from the University of California Santa Barbara, Gervitz Graduate School of Education, go Gauchos!

 

I began my teaching career in South San Francisco; teaching kindergarten and second grade. I am delighted to be apart of the Hawthorne team and have been teaching third grade for thirteen years. 

 

What I enjoy most about being in education is watching my students grow academically throughout each year. I love seeing children thrive as individuals and within the classroom setting. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the foundation that helps mold students into what they will become. Helping students build confidence in themselves and their classmates is truly rewarding.

 

I am looking forward to a fantastic year and very excited to have you in my class!
