Mrs. Anderson 3rd Grade ~ 2022/2023
Hello Hawthorne HEROs!
I am so excited to be a third grade teacher at Hawthorne Elementary. I am enthusiastic about motivating and inspiring students to learn, grow and explore the world around them.
In 2009 after 12 years in the automotive industry, I began teaching elementary in Annapolis, MD and earned a Master's Degree in Leadership in Teaching: STEM Education in 2019. I have teaching experience in kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade classrooms, and as an elementary STEM instructor/teacher mentor.
My first BHUSD assignment was a rewarding long-term substitute position in the 2020/21 school year as the Hawthorne Makerspace teacher, where I was able to get to know and work with students in 1st through 5th grades and help them become creative thinkers and problem solvers.
I look forward to continuing this journey in the third grade, being a part of the Hawthorne community and working together to support our students!
